Boracay Island
Boracay is a small tropical island in the central part of the Philippine archipelago. Its beaches are among the five best beaches in the world, and the island itself is considered the beach capital of the Philippines.
The length of the island is only 7 kilometers, and the width is from 1 to 2.5 kilometers. There is no airport in Boracay. The nearest is on Panay Island, in Caticlan, from where a boat runs to Boracay.
White sand and turquoise sea
The sea on Boracay is clear and turquoise, the coral sand on the beach is snow-white and what is interesting, it never heats up and you can walk on it even in the most intense heat.
The landscapes on the island are simply magnificent and very good infrastructure for tourists.
Butterfly Garden
Be sure to visit the Butterfly Garden, it is located in the northern part of the island near the golf club. You can reach it on foot or on a tricycle.
Over 20 species of butterflies live in the garden, friendly flying foxes that you can feed mangoes, and a snowy owl. Here you can buy an artificial butterfly for memory.
Seashell Museum
In the small village of Ilig Iligan, near the beach of the same name, there is a unique museum of seashells.
Here you can see the shells of various families, sizes, colors and shapes.
This museum is private. His story began in 1960. The unique exposition has been replenished for several decades by fishermen and professional divers, which Boracay has been famous for a long time.
Museum of Glory and Roberto Tirol
One of the most popular museums of the island is the Glorio and Roberto Tirol Museum. This is also a private museum, and visiting it is completely free. The creators of the invaluable exposition tray to convey to visitors the idea of the great past of the island of Boracay Island and China, whose history has repeatedly intertwined.
A separate section of the collection consists of prehistoric objects and shells, mined in the Philippines, the oldest pottery, Chinese-made antique furniture. Guests can see vintage photos and paintings by local artists. The museum is located on the west side of Boracay Island, next to White Beach.
Walk on the seabed
On the island of Boracay, quite recently appeared tour "Walk through the reefs." If you put the spacesuit on your head, you can walk along the reef bottom, and you will breathe through it. And although on land such a spacesuit will seem rather heavy to you: it weighs about 15 kilograms, under water it will begin to weigh only 1 kg.
It is possible to descend to a depth of 3-5 meters maximum, but the magnificent view of the seabed here will not leave you indifferent - bright colors, the abundance of marine life creates fabulous sensations.
