Bohol Island

During a one-day tour around the island of Bohol, you will visit such interesting places as the sculptural monument “Blood Compact Commemorative Shrine” and the unique church Baclayon, get acquainted with the cute primates tarshirs, enjoy the view of the famous Chocolate Hills and relax on a floating restaurant during a cruise along the picturesque Lobok River, also much more awaits you!
Blood Compact Schrine

“The Blood Compact Commemorative Shrine” is the name of this sculptural monument. It marks the first friendship treaty between the brown and white races, Europeans and locals.

Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and local leader Datu Sikatuna sealed the treaty in 1565, drinking wine mixed with their own blood.
Church in Backlayon

The church was built in the 16th century, shortly after the Spaniards arrived to the islands of the Philippine archipelago and is one of the oldest stone buildings in the Philippines.

In 1717-1727 the church was rebuilt. 200 local workers worked on its construction. As a building material they used coral stones, extracted right there from the sea and cut into squares. Bamboo was used to lift stones, and egg white was used to bond elements (millions of eggs were used to erect the building).

The dungeon of the church served as a place to punish the locals who violated the rules of the Roman Catholic Church.
Tarsier's Sanctuary

During the excursion to the island of Bohol, tourists will also visit the nature reserve, where tarsiers have found shelter.

Tarsiers are the smallest primates in the world and considered an endangered species. These tiny animals with big eyes sleep during the day, but are very active at night. They hunt down insects that feed on, jumping from tree to tree.
In the reserve, tarsiers are in complete freedom. Having long legs, they jump 2-3 meters in height and can easily overcome a hedge that does not limit their freedom, but only protects against voracious cats.
Chocolate Hills

Without a doubt, Chocolate Hills is the hallmark of not only the Bohol Islands, but the Philippines.
These unique natural objects look like giant truffles that have fallen out of the candy box. If you are lucky with the time of year, the hills will be red-brown in color, exactly like chocolate!

You can admire the view of the hills, from a viewing platform or from an airplane.

They are depicted on the flag and coat of arms of the province of Bohol, symbolizing the abundance of its natural resources.
Cruise along the Lobok River

On Bohol, local and foreign tourists will enjoy a cruise along the picturesque Lobok River at floating restaurants, where they will be served a buffet with the best local cuisine.

When in the Busay Falls area, cruisers are treated to rondalla music in a floating cottage occupied by a local rondolla group. They will be entertained by expressive folk music and dancing.
